Customer Review: Great Home Theater For The Price!
I’ve had this unit for close to a year now and I’ve been totally pleased with it. It was very easy to setup and has excellent sound for the price. While many reviewers on here say they had problems with the auto-calibration and it made the unit sound awful/tinny, I had absolutely no problems with it and it worked great for me. Maybe it depends on the size/setup of the room you have it in? If you do decide to use auto-calibration and aren’t satisfied with the sound quality, I would suggest following the advice of the others on here and reset the unit and/or make manual adjustments. I’m using a regular Sony DVD player (haven’t taken the Blu-Ray plunge yet), Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, AppleTV, Dish Network, and Sirius satellite radio with this unit, and it all works great.

To everyone giving bad reviews, low stars, and complaining because this unit does not have a Blu-Ray player integrated with it: YOU NEED TO RESEARCH AND READ THE DESCRIPTION MORE CAREFULLY!!! The title for this product says *FOR* Sony Blu-Ray players, NOT with. The description also says “NOTE: Blu-Ray player NOT included.” Not every home theater system has a disc player included with it, and this is one of them. You would see this if you were to read more carefully. Another clue that this unit doesn’t include a player is that it costs less than a standalone Blu-Ray player. Anyone who thinks they can get a home theater system including a player for less money than a standalone player has got to be totally nuts. Just because you didn’t read/research properly is no reason to give low stars or a bad review. The reason it says *FOR* Sony Blu-Ray players is because the front of it is constructed to match the look of standalone Sony Blu-Ray players. This is so if you own or purchase a standalone Sony player you can have a matching look between your audio/video equipment.
Customer Review: Best boom for the $
I have been waiting for a system to be in the right price range and have audio sent through HDMI.
I got that and more.
I have my PS3,X-Box 360 and a HD-DVD player attached to the receiver.Just hit the corresponding button on the remote that you have that items HDMI hooked into and you are good to go.
I do have an Optical cable going from the TV to the Receiver and with this system I am in the middle of my favorite movies.
There are a good amount od sound schemes to go with what you watching ( Action, sports, music…) or you can set it to auto and let it set its self.
